Cheese and tomato bake.
Ricetta di4 slices of bread, crusts removed
1 oz of butter
2 tomatoes, sliced
3 oz of mature cheddar, grated
2 eggs
1/4pt of milk
salt and freshly ground black pepper
Preparazione → 15 min min
Cottura → 25 min
1. Preheat the oven to 200.
and place a baking sheet in the oven to heat.
2. Cut the slices of bread in half diagonally,
spread one side with butter and arrange, overlapping,
in a small baking dish.
Insert the slices of tomato between the bread and then scatter
over the cheese, lifting up some of the bread so some cheese
goes underneath.
3. Beat together the eggs and milk and season with salt and pepper.
Pour the mixture over the bread.
4. Place the dish on the hot baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes
until the top is pale golden and feels firm when lightly
pressed in the senter.
Serve immediately.

Sounds great, going try this one. Yum yum
I cooked it for 1, and im pretty sure i put too much milk in with the egg as it was lovely and crunchy on top but a little sloppy on the bottom. Still a very nice dish!
