2 pounds pinto beans 6 cubes beef flavored bouillon 2 pounds Edkridge sausage 1 onion 1 green bell pepper 2 Tbsp. sugar 1/8 tsp. garlic powder 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce 1/2 tsp. black pepper

1. Soak beans overnight. First thing in the morning, drain water from beans, put in a large Dutch oven, cover with fresh water and begin cooking over low heat. Slice sausage very thin, dice all vegetables and spices. Add everything to beans and cook over low heat all day, stirring frequently and adding water as necessary to prevent burning. *I sometimes change this recipe if I don’t have all the ingredients. I add a little chili powder to them. These are good to put in your slow cooker.
