Perfect pear crisp
Ricetta di1 lemon
1/2 cup granulated sugar divided
1/3 cup plus 2 TBSP flour divided
1 tsp ground cinnamon
8 fresh pears (2 1/2 lbs) peeled and cut into 1 inch chunks
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup cold butter cut up
1/2 cup Planters sliced almonds
1 cup thawned Cool Whip whipped topping

1. Heat oven to 375 degrees F
2. Grate enough lemon peel to measure 1/2 teaspoon zest
3. Squeeze enough lemon juice to measure 4 1/2 teaspoons
4. Mix 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons flour and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon in a large bowl
5. Add pear chunks, lemon zest and juice and toss until pears are coated
6. Spoon into a 2 quart cassarole
7. Mix brow sugar and remaining granulated sugar, flour and cinnamon into a medium size bowl
8. Cut in butter pieces with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture forms coarse crumbs
9. Stir in nuts and sprinkle over pears
10. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until topping is golden brown and pears are hot and bubbly
11. Serve topped with Cool Whip
